KFC restaurant is finally opening in Riga, Latvia
Kentucky Fried Chicken, a world-famous fast food restaurant chain that specializes in fried chicken is to open doors in old town Riga this Fall.
The world’s second largest restaurant chain after McDonald’s and a subsidiary of Yum! Brands that also owns the Pizza Hut and Taco Bell chains, has launched the Latvian Facebook page with teasers running throughout Summer but not revealing the official launch date.
The brand insists on following their social media for the official restaurant opening date.

Riga Talk has observed that works are in progress at 14 Audēju Street, where KFC joint will be located. We’re hearing your chicken buckets will be available in a matter of days.
The internet domain has been registered, but the KFC Latvia website currently displays a splash page with a logo and there is no word on the local price policy.
According to the Patent Office of Latvia, KFC registered its brand in Latvia already back in 1992, which means that the holding company will open its subsidiary in Riga without a franchise.
A bucket, anyone?
UPDATE: The KFC restaurant on 14 Audēju St will open on Friday, August 28 — as per official KFC Latvija sources.
