The low-cost carrier Ryanair is to open a base at Stockholm Arlanda this winter, initially basing two aircraft at the Swedish airport.
As for Riga, the airline plans to base two aircraft at RIX as well — by investing 165 million euros (200 million US dollars) as Ryanair’s commercial director Jason McGuinness told media representatives recently.
Additional new routes from Riga would include Budapest, Malaga, Palermo, Rome Ciampino and Paris Beauvais, and more.
