Riga just hit 825 years old.
Most cities bake a cake. We brought a Formula 1 car to Eksporta Street.
This past weekend, the capital transformed for the “Open Riga! Code: 825!” celebration.
The highlight? The Red Bull Showrun tearing through our streets.
We had F1 cars, drifting, and MotoGP bikes putting on an absolute clinic.
Latvian rally star Martins Sesks repped the home turf, while Dani Pedrosa brought the heat on two wheels.
But the weekend wasn’t just burnt rubber and engine noise.
Old Riga morphed into an open-air stage for street theater and musicians.
Victory Park got a fresh coat of culture with the “Atklāj brīnumu!” street art festival.
Even the local bakeries stepped up, remixing the classic “Vecrīga” pastry for the “Riga’s Sweetest Secret” campaign.
If you missed the weekend chaos, the party isn’t entirely over.
The “Riga Summer” program is keeping the vibes alive in parks across the city until late August.
Head over to LSM’s guide to catch the remaining concerts.

825 looks damn good on you, Riga.
