The next face of Riga Station Square pavilion has a name: Migla.
On 15 October 2026, architecture firm NOONSOON and landscape firm Nemoralis won Linstow’s design contest for the pavilion at Stacijas laukums 4 and the public space at 13. janvāra iela 2A — right in front of Central Station and Origo. LSM carried the English report; Linstow Baltic ran it with the Latvian Association of Architects.

What does Migla unlock for Station Square?
The brief wanted a commercially viable pavilion plus people-friendly outdoor space, cleaner pedestrian flows, sustainable landscaping, and a look that fits the Central Business District. The winners get invited to negotiate construction design and author supervision — concept locked, concrete still ahead.
Linstow Baltic’s Andis Kublačovs called it CBD growth plus better city space. Dace Kalvāne of the architects’ association put the street test first: pedestrian routes and accessibility have to work. Jury seats spanned Linstow, architects’ associations, Riga Council and the National Heritage Board. Rail Baltica is already reshaping the station; this is the square’s turn.
Want a look? The nine boards are upstairs at Origo through December. Go stare at Migla — then walk the square and see what it has to fix.
