Purvciems just got a zebra that doesn’t go anywhere.
On Ilūkstes iela, a freshly painted pedestrian crossing runs straight into a barrier. Resident Kārlis clocked it on a walk and joked the city ran out of paint money halfway across.
Bez Tabu (TV3) picked it up. Rūdolfs Golubovs from Pilsēta cilvēkiem says you shouldn’t leave a crossing like that.
People walk around the barrier and cross where the stripes die. A half-zebra that trains you to ignore the rail.
BB.LV says some locals call it the road to nowhere — or the road to heaven. BB.LV also reports: Riga City Council confirmed the crossing will get finished, fully next year.

Purvciems keeps receipts. Finish the stripes, Riga.
