Minions hit Riga theaters before USA premiere

Minions is a 2015 American 3D computer-animated adventure action comedy film, and a prequel/spin-off to the Despicable Me franchise.

The film stars Pierre Coffin (as the Minions), Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, Steve Coogan, and Geoffrey Rush.

The Latvian version — which has been released before the official USA date — stars such prominent acts as Liene Šomase, Māris Grigalis, Baiba Broka, Pēteris Šogolovs, Jānis Kirmuška, Laila Kirmuška, Dainis Porgants, Pēteris Liepiņš, Ģirts Jakovļevs, Jānis Jarāns and Normunds Rutulis.

If you don’t know who Minions are, Riga Talk got you covered! Minions are small, yellow pill-like creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from single-celled organisms into beings who have only one purpose: to serve history’s most despicable masters.

In the movie, Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob are recruited by Scarlet Overkill, a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world.

Look out for Minions in your nearest Forum Cinema. The Latvian version is out July 3 and the Russian one — July 9.
